Our Jewellers

Julia Hallam

Jules spent the majority of her childhood playing in the local river estuary in dinghy's, yachts, rowing boats, canoes and anything else that floated! When not on the water or if the tide was out then Jules would be found on the local beaches collecting treasure or in the Blackwater Mud!

Jules worked abroad teaching watersports, travelled Europe seeking wind and waves, qualified as a teacher, spent 10 years teaching sport and outdoor education, and in her 30s began her journey into traditional silversmithing.

Jules now works full time creating jewellery as well as teaching others the art of traditional silversmithing in her home workshop in Dorset. When Jules isn't making or teaching she is still often found at the beach, in, on and near the water with her family and dogs!

Sarah Ricketts

Creating a range of unique, vibrant polymer clay jewellery, Delicious Jewellery has evolved around a love of colour, texture and shapes.

Working from a little makeshift studio/conservatory at home, graphic designer Sarah quickly discovered clay and started to explore the use of this material in her jewellery designs and fell in love with the freedom it gave her to create unique, hand painted, geometric statement pieces.

Her process involves mixing the clay to get the right base colour, then shaping and adding
texture or screen printing the patterns on before curing the clay. Once baked each piece is then sanded before the painting can begin or varnished, depending on the final design.

Sammy O'brien

I have a passion for working with Silver. Each piece I craft is thoughtfully designed and carefully handcrafted, using traditional techniques and hand tools, many of which are unchanged since ancient times. I find immense joy in the creation process.

The responsible sourcing of materials is incredibly important to me. I strive to lessen the impact my work has on the environment. I use 100% recycled silver which is identical to freshly mined Silver but has been reclaimed and refined. All gemstones are carefully and individually chosen from a few trusted ethical suppliers. I also buy repurposed stones which have been removed from jewellery bound for scrap.

Nicky Stockley

Usually known for her vivid and slightly surreal paintings, ceramic sculpting is a fairly new addition to Nicky's practice. These sea creature earrings are sculpted by hand using epoxy clay, before being painted with tiny brushes and cured in resin.

Rosie Wesley

Rosie Wesley (BA Hons) is a metalwork and jewellery designer / maker living and working in Lymington in The New Forest with her studio situated at the back of her independent high street gallery Chalk’s.

Having lived in the New Forest for most of her life, Rosie takes the majority of her inspiration from the local area and creates her work from found natural objects. Focussing on texture and form, each of Rosie’s sculptural works and jewellery are individual, site-responsive pieces and are one-of-a-kind.

Rosie uses burn-out casting techniques to transform her found natural objects into metal. Pieces of tree bark, acorns, twigs and leaves make unique components for her work and become immortalised forever. Some of her pieces also feature components based on her drawings or sketches of the forest.

Rosie is fascinated by the concept of taking something from our natural environment and transforming it or assembling it into something else; giving it a new life away from it’s original environment. Her work allows you to appreciate natural spaces everyday, and preserve a part of them forever.
