Originally from the seaside town of Swanage, Nicky is a painter who also designs fabric and dabbles in ceramics. After completing her masters in illustration back in 2017 Nicky pursued showcasing her work in local galleries and exhibitions and was a resident artist in Purbeck New wave gallery since it's opening in 2018 until taking it on with fellow artist Briony Maple in 2024. 

Wildlife and the natural world inspires Nicky's work, her stylised paintings uses patterns found in nature to create her large and vibrant gouache pieces.
